Reviewing a Student's Engagement
Staff are able to review a student's engagement with their studies via SEAtS. This includes attendance at timetabled teaching events and their use of University resources. You can search for students by their Student Number or their name. The search currently looks for all the words used, hence using the Student Number or last name alone is recommended.
Once you have the student you wish to review you can click on their name to see information about the student, an overview of their attendance is available on the Attendance tab and a history of their events is at the bottom of the screen.
From the list of students, you can click on the menu icon () to the left of their photo and select Calendar to see their attendance and engagement events on an Outlook Calendar style layout. There is also a list of all student events, including engagements events in a column on the left-hand side of the screen, scrolling down this list will load older events.
You can view teaching events by clicking the Lectures Tab at the top of the screen and you can find events by using the unified search box towards the top right. You can search by Lecturer's name, Module ID, Module name, Room name or Building name. Please don't mix different items in the search box (for example, Room and Building name) as it will not return any results. You can change which day and time you are searching for using the date and time boxes towards the top left of the screen.
